Bird watching is a multi-million dollar business in the United States. Many, if not all, of our spring migrants spend their winters in Central and South America. What is the status of conservation in regards to these species, and how can it impact what we observe here in the United States? I'd like to look at what is currently happening in Costa Rica in regards to national and international efforts to conserve bird species.
