Draft #1: the life of the sloth - a walking ecosystem

I will discuss the life of the sloth, a unique mammal found in Costa RIca and other Central and South AMerican forests. The sloth is unique in its completely arboreal lifestyle and in its being host to many molds, fungi, and algae. Topics to be discussed include:
I. General life history
A. Geographical location
B. Lifespan, diet, lifestyle, reproduction
II. Life in the Trees
A. Special adaptations to arboreal living
III. The ecosystem of the sloth
A. the parasites that live in its fur
B. parasites that live in its feces]
IV. Why should anyone be interested in this strange animal?
