Everglade Fires: Natural and Controlled

I chose my topic due to the recent fires in the Everglades. I hope to explore how fires effect ecosystems.

1) History of Everglade fires

2) The effects of fires on ecosystems

3) The differences of controlled and natural fires

4) The impact on species living in the effected ecosystem

5) Tactics used to control and/or extinguish fires (natural or un-natural)

The small outline above represents a brief outline of why fires can contribute and destroy ecesystems. I would like to expand on this issue because I believe it effects all of us in ways we may not consciously know. I wish I could expand further on my topic but I'm a late entry for the trip...
