Rather be short than stupid, ugly, bald or fat

I'm a 31 yr. old male, and am 5'6" tall, or short. Anyway, my adult life has been filled w/derogatory remarks about my size. I've been called "midget," "runt," etc. over & over again. Yes, this has and probably always will hurt me inside, but I've learned that other attributes - both physical and mental, usually cancel out those negatives. For example, I work out often and am in very good shape. I'm told constantly that I look under 25. I have a full head of hear, a Master's degree, and common sense to go w/it. In highschool, the girls in my senior year class voted me the best looking guy in the class. I was also selected Prom King. Additionally, I was the Letterman's Club President my Senior year. I have NEVER had trouble w/the ladies. Sure, there have been some women that dismissed me due to my height, but I've definitely dismissed a lot of women because of their appearance. The worst part about being a short man, in my opinion, is that many other (taller) men like to start fights w/me in social situations, especially in clubs and in bars. The positive side of this is that I've learned to defend myself over the years. I love the looks on their faces when I respond in like to their aggressiveness. It really makes them look like jack-asses!
