what about ghosts?

This research topic submitted by angie heimann (heimanar@miavx1.acs.muohio.edu) on 3/4/98.

it might be neat to compare the ways humans fear the natural (the real) and the way some people fear the supernatural (ghosts.) if many humans are removed from natural settings that would actually include harmful animals, yet the humans still fear the animals, aren't they, in a way, having the same sort of fear as people who fear ghosts? just a thought. also, isn't there some sort of wierd statistic, such as; there are actually one million sharks killed by humans for every human killed by a shark? it would be interesting to see how "rational" the fears are based on statistics like this.
