Vertical Variation of Species Diversity Within the Liberty Formation
This article submitted by Scott Anderson, Dave Parry, Michelle Z. and Jason Lohnes on 9/24/97.
This study will attempt to show that differences in species abundance and interspecies size occur through a vertical section of the Liberty Formation. We predict that significant differences do indeed exist, and are willing to bet our seemingly insignificant lives on it. We intend to use a vertical belt transect method to sample a specific site within the Liberty formation at the Indiana St. Route 1 road cut. If anyone knows of a similar study, please share. We might be over our heads in this one. If not, in the semi-altered words of the 80s star Thomas Dolby, "We will blind you with science!" P.S. Song of the Dodo forever,
C.W. Fetter's Applied Hydrogeology never!
