The May issue of National Geographis Magazine, page 58 has a picture of the Rhone Glacier in 1850 and again today. The 1850 picture shows a large accumulation of ice at the bottom of the glacier. Could this be from the accumulation of time?
There is little left of the glacier today.
Did this glacier in Gletsch, Switzerland, form during the little ice age? This picture is used by some enviromentalists to show how bad the globle warming is However, your story shows that the formation of the glacier was unusual.
