Orange-Billed Sparrow
Arremon aurantiirostris

Size: 6" (15.5 cm); 35 g.

Diet: Searches for insects, spiders, and fallen berries on ground. On rare occasion follows army ants. Sometimes flies to a low branch for food.

Voice: Sharp tchip or tsuk. Song can be staccato notes and thin whistles: ts'seeew ts'seeew ts' seeew seer.

Status: Common throughout lowland forests.

Cool Fact: Rarely goes higher than 10 ft from the ground.
