Discussion Idea: Keystone Coral Species and Cascade Effects of Local Extinction

Corals provide not only a physical foundation for growth in an ecosystem but also a significant source of primary productivity, through their symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae. I would like to identify and characterize keystone coral species that live around Florida and the Bahamas and examine possible effects of local extinction.
