Hi Janelle -

You have a great topic here. I think you'll find that though most people learned a little bit about plate tectonics in grade school, you'll be surprised to see how much people don't know now. Costa Rica is in a highly active area of the world, and it is amazing to visit the country and see it in action.

Your outline looks promising, but you'll want to add a little more detail for your April 1 submission. At this point, you'll want to add more information about the topics you've listed previously. The geology of the country will be a keystone of your presentation. Be sure to tell us about plate tectonics, mountain formation and volcanism. These activities greatly influence the flora and fauna of the different biomes. The great changes in elevation also affect air circulation and the hydrologic cycle. This is why we see wet and dry rain forests across different areas of the country.

I hope this has been a help for you. Good luck with your outline!
Becky
