I am going to tell the class about the history of Costa Rica, focusing on the reasons why the country has no government. I was thinking about giving a rather broad view of the history of the country at the beginning of the paper and presentation, because I am sure that there will be quite a few students who know nothing about it. I think this topic will help students to realize where they are, and how it has become what it is. I want to focus on the lack of military force, because I think that this is one of the most intriguing qualities of the nation. I still have much research to do, but the outline gives a basic idea of what I am interested in presenting.
