a. Students will research a specific fish that interests them and will give
short oral presentation to class including visual aide/PowerPoint presentation.
C. Adaptations
1. Create a fish project
a. Students will be given a list of adapations (reproductive, sturctural, patterned, etc.) and will be required to create a fish using various materials showing these adaptations. They will make up a scientific and common name for their fish creation and will introduce this fish to their class explaining the implications of their adaptations.
2. Fresh vs. Salt water fish
D. Ecology of Fish
1. Population dynamics
a. normal fish reproduction and population fluctuations
b. overfishing and habitat destruction and its effect on fish populations (renewable resouce becoming a nonrenewable resource)
