The extreme tidal flow (~1 meter/sec) at Pigeon Creek, San Salvador, was measured with a current meter in "Blow-Outs" in the main channel.
This discussion will focus on several factors that formulate a vulnerable situation for the Cloud Forest of Costa Rica. We will begin by exploring the reasons a cloud forest is so fragile. Different fragile components of the cloud forest will be disclosed as well. A minimal tangent of climate change effects on the change in weather patterns in Costa Rica will be discussed. A discussion hypothesis of how weather has affected the Monteverdi region will be included.
Once an understanding of the impact of climate change or “global warming” has been discussed, then dialogue of the documented changes in the decades can transpire. An important factor of this discussion will be considering what other types of changes will be seen as climate changes continues to impact the cloud forest region. Finally aspects of conservation will be discussed.
