I have chosen the topic of stromatolites. I plan on talking about what they are, where they can be found, and their importance in reconstructing the past enviroment in the ocean as well as past organism activity.

- What are stromatolites
-Microbes that form them
-importance of cyanobacteria
-What are they formed from
- What type of environment do they form in
- factors that affect their formation
- affect of added phosphates and the grazing of snails living on stromatolites
- Where the are located presently and in the past
-Shark Bay, Australia
- how do they serve as indicators of past organism life
- growth patterns after mass extinction events
- how do they serve as indicators of past environmental conditions
