Hey Tyler - great topic! Especially for San Salvador, its by far one of the best islands for research or just birdwatching. The ABA runs a workshop each year and the guy that leads it has done the majority of the research on shoebirds/seabirds in San Salvador. One of his most recent papers is in the course reader, so be sure to check it out.

There is also a field guide for birding in The Bahamas, which may come in handy. You may be able to find at the library, or maybe Hays has a copy.

I just wanted to offer a couple comments on your outline. You may want to focus your intro more specifically on marine birds instead of birds in general, and specifically describe the three main groups of birds which fall under this category (seabirds, shorebird and water birds). This approach would fit well with the rest of your outline, given the differences between the three.

The Society for Caribbean Ornithologists has some great info. Check out their seabird and water bird working groups at http://www.scscb.org/

Also check out this link to the National Biological Information Infrastructure which has a wealth of info on all things biological. You can do a search within their reourses for marine birds for articles, maps, etc to help you with your paper.

Have fun and left me know if you have any questions.
