Octopi are often considered the most intelligent invertebrates in the world successfully using camouflage and a flexible body to access food. I will research these and other various Octopus adaptations and respective species diversity in the Marine Coral Reef Ecosystem. I plan to examine how different species have adapted to specific niches in the coral reef ecosystem. The adaptations I plan to examine include prey capture, feeding behaviors, breeding and brooding adaptations, larva and juvenile lifestyles and predator escaping.
