What is Beauty?

By definition beauty is 1: the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit: LOVELINESS
2: a beautiful person or thing; especially: a beautiful woman
3: a particularly graceful, ornamental, or excellent quality
4: a brilliant, extreme, or egregious example or instance
5: a quantum characteristic that accounts for the existence and lifetime of the upsilon particle; also : a particle having this characteristic. Darwin believed that beauty was a factor in natural selection. Beauty is a sign of health and fertility, which makes a mate more liable to attract another mate. Judith Langlois has done research that proposes that people are more attracted to the average person. Meaning one that has a variety of features or the prototype theory.
We would like to do a survey to determine if the more average person is the most beautiful according to students at Miami and possibly web surfers. Accompanying this survey we would like to take a class average face for the female and male students in NS II and maybe ask questions about what people feel are beautiful features inside and out.
