Although you seem to have a great interest in this topic, we seem to have a bit of a problem locating the hypothisis. It seems to be a very interesting topic, however, we believe that you could benefit from addressing a more specific aspect of revivals or specific religious groups and their practices at revivals (i.e. Baptists, V. Catholics). You should also be careful of having a predisposed notion of what you will find--"It is not unusual for participants in revivals to experience great 'spiritual
awakenings' that manifest themselves in speaking in tongues and seizures." While it is not to say that you may find these things to be true, you should be careful of skewing your results by failing to be unbiased. What test groups do you intend, what literature/resourses will you use? What causes people to need revivals? Why do they go?

Overall, it is a topic will great potential. You could benefit from looking more indepth, but the idea is strong.
