interesting project idea

I thnk that looking at the philosophical ideals which shape who we are and what we do is a great idea. It seems though, that it is very very broad. Perhaps you could focus on a specific idealology or religion rather than generalizing. In that way, you could research just that thing and focus your survey on just that thing, otherwise I think you'll be overwhelmed by all the information and research. If you chose to do it on a specific religion, for example, you could do case studies on people who believe that and people who don't and then compare and contrast your results fitting it in with your question by seeing whether that religion is a blessing or a curse with regards to evolution. Just a thought. Good idea - good luck with your project.
