Draft 1: To Whom Humans Care For

This topic submitted by Brian Forrester, Cat Fincun ( Forresbr@muohio.edu ) on 2/2/06. [ Human Nature Team: Brian Forrester, Cat Fincun -Section: Blaisdell/Feister]

Our study asks the question of whether humans are more willing to address the issues and act in order to help repair the status and wellbeing of a human life or that of a dog. By analyzing the infrastructure of each of these separate administrations in Butler County we want to identify which of these groups adheres more to the interest of us humans and find if that is a reflection of our human nature. Our topic wishes to address three important issues surrounding these two programs. The first being the actual statistics of these programs, the actual numbers involved and the availability of supporting resources and facilities. The second is to take inquiry into the administration of these facilities to compare how they are being run, the budget of these programs, and the importance of their mission as felt by the facilitator. The third topic to be discussed is the viewpoint posed by the common person based on statistics from an observational survey. The empirical data found through our research will provide suggestive qualitative and quantitative findings to help answer our question. Thus an insight into the societal limitations we put forth on our own humanity.
