What are the effects of
Deforestation on Local Climate with Global Implications?
We predict that deforestation does
cause the climate to change. More specifically we believe that the average
rainfall will decrease and the temperature will rise in the test area.
We plan to place equal amount of
water in different spots around Miami campus. There will be a few pans in the
woods, a few in the direct sun and a control pan by the weather station so that
we can tell how much water is evaporated in a spot where we can measure
temperature and intensity of sunlight. We also plan to place thermometers up
next to each of the water pans.
