We have revised our lab idea and have chosen to focus on the structure and design of maple "helicopters." We plan on looking at 2 different species of maples that are found in different landscapes and how their seeds differ and why. This idea is more focused and will hopefully yield useful results. In our lab, we will study seed structure, the weight of the seeds, the length and width of the wings, the number of seeds found and how far they are found from the tree.
