Our group has decided to test water samples from a variety of places on the Miami University campus. We will test not only dormitories but academic buildings, dining halls, and students cneters such as shriver and king library. We hope to examine and test these samples for chloride, iron, calcium magnesium, total hardness levels, and ph levels. Through our study we hope to recognize the sources of our water contaminants, what can be done, and how we can be overall more educated water consumers. We also want to show how our research will be relevant in daily situations. In our presentation we are going to brew tea and coffee with both distilled water and tap waters from MU faucets and examine the difference in filter and cup cleanliness. Overall we hope to show the condition of the H20 at Miami and how it affects you.
