In a survey-based study of 100 males and 100 females (all college students), it was found that men and women differ significantly in their preferences regarding clothing and style, but not in their preferences toward specific facial features, except for hair length, nose size and jaw type.
The hypothesis that men prefer lighter, softer features and a more refined, yet revealing sense of clothing style; while women prefer darker, harder features with a more casual dress sense was not proven statistically, although some data support these claims.
