We planted our beans today!

We ordered 200 Dwarf Runner Beans [Hammonds Dwarf Scarlet] from an online company. After a long delay, they finally arrived yesterday. We headed down to the greenhouse after NS today to plant them.

We got 5 flats that had space for 24 plants each. We filled 18 of the 24 spots with soil and planted two beans in each individual space. When they begin to grow, we will take the smaller one out of the space. This will ensure that only the strongest plants are being tested, that way differences in heights will be less likely attributed to the natural make-up of the seeds.

After planting the seeds, we watered each tray with distilled water from the hose in the greenhouse. Harry told us that the seeds will live off of their own nutrients for awhile, so we don't need to worry about wasting our acid on them quite yet.

We put the 5 trays in the second room of the greenhouse on the right. Feel free to take a look!
