I'm glad to see that you're off to a running start! My comments below are meant to provide suggestions that will improve your project.

I can tell that you put much thought into this research project and I appreciate your efforts

Include pictures in the Lab Packet Posting!

I'd like to see your data sheet

One concern I have: With only two trees of each of the five species (2 individuals/species in the forest, 2 individuals/species in the open), how will we do statistical analyses?

The Relevance section is very rough. What you have here is more an Annotated Bibliography (which is fine, for an Annotated Bibliography). The Relevance Section needs to put/place your specific study into some broader context. The context you place your study in can be tangental to color change, such as the evolution of a "deciduous lifestyle" in plants, the importance of leaf fall to terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, the portrayal of the beauty of fall in art and photography, etc.

Did you reference and research other Western student projects that dealt with leaf clolor change?
