The Affects of Fertilizers on the Growth Soybean Plants and its Environmental Implications
Abstract:
Fertilizers can be harmful to the environment when their wastes run off into groundwater sources such as streams and rivers. Fertilizer is any of a large number of natural and synthetic materials, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium compounds, added to soil or sprayed on the leaves of plants to increase plant capacity to support growth. There are alternatives to using fertilizers when farming, such as crop rotation and organic farming, but the use of fertilizers is often the only option available for farmers who want to keep their large farms in line with the ever-changing market. Thus, in this experiment, it has been the goal to create an environmentally friendly and ethical fertilizer that sacrifices very little of the growing power that commercial fertilizers have.
