yesterday, november 7th, we compiled our second set of data for the experiment. once again, we found the lower pH levels (2, 3, 4) showed the greatest change. some samples have lost as much as .5 grams. pH levels of 5 through 10 showed minimal change, if any at all.....howevewr, we still found that some weight actually increased in the higher solutions (mainly 6-10) this may be because the buffer solutions are actually causing a growth on the rock...some type of rock may actually be forming as a result of the mixing chemicals...we still have to study this further as no definate answer is evident.
