Our group is going to study the relationship between the swans in Western Pond and the students around it. Some questions that we are going to answer are:

-1. Does the weather effect the location of swans in the pond?
-2. Will certain sounds attract or repel the swans to or away from their source?
-3. Will the time of day effect where the swans are located in
the pond?
-4. Will the number of people around the pond effect the location of the swans?

Predictions: We feel the sounds and people around the pond will generally repel the swans. We think that during a hot day, the swans will probably stay in a shaded spot so they do not get over-heated. We also feel that the swans will generally remain in the pond from late morning until mid to late afternoon. This could also change based on the times that the swans would be fed.

Research Design: We plan on studying the swans throughout the day to observe their habits and record their reactions towards sounds and humans.
