We have decided to change our research topic to sleeping patterns because this one was more interesting to us.
We plan on giving a general survey to about 40 first years asking questions that relate to eating habits, study habits, ratings of stress levels, dreams, number of naps taken in a day/week, hours of sleep received in a night, involvement, and a few questions concerning attitudes.
Once we have received this data, we will organize and analyze it. After the first survey is complete, we will then administer a similar questionaire right before a test or project is due. This is to find out if big events alter stress levels and sleeping behaviors.
We believe that Western Majors receive more sleep and are generally less stress about deadlines and tests. Architect majors seem to have a more uptight attitude continually stressing about due dates and readings for Western classes. WE would like to prove this hypothesis through our research. And somehow tie in the lack of sleep/ gain of sleep to the overall attitude of being relaxed or highstrung.

This will take us a while to get done with all the different surveys, but hopefully will prove our initial guess about western and architect majors and their sleeping patterns.
