We think you guys have a very good reseach project going here, but we have a few questions you may or may not have thought of.
1. Maybe you should collect samples of the pond water on a regular basis to check for pollutants other than acid rain.
2. What about the other pollutants in the water, such as animal waste, liter, fumes from automobiles, etc. how are you going to measure those pollutants?
3. Do you have tests to determine all of the various chemicals in the water?
4. Shouldn't you be sampling ot find out what the normal state of the pond is so you have something to compare your research to.
5. How are you going to know which chemicals are harmful to people and animals, and how harmful they really are. What effects might these chemicals have on individuals.
6. Shouldn't you collect run off water into the pond during the rain as well as afterwards, so you can see if there is actual run off of fertilizers in the water before most of it may sink to the bottom or be absorbed by plants and animals.
7. Are you going to take the samples of the water deeper than the first layer?

Good-luck on your project!
