Your lab sounds really neat!!! Where did you come up with the idea of counting taste buds? It's really interesting. One thing we were wondering about is how you will measure the outside effects of things such as smoking and piercing on the amount of taste as compared to the amount of taste buds. In other words, how will you know which has a stronger effect on taste? ...the outside factors or the number of taste buds? We would like to see what your taste test include because it seems like it would be very difficult to get accurate data regarding the degree of taste present while eating. We're very interested to see how your lab turns out. It's a very cool idea! We are excited to see how many taste buds we have!!! Your class lab activity should be fun! Good luck!!!
