Oxford Birds and Feeding Habits

This Progress Report submitted by Malika Kirkling, Lene Martin, Katie Casanta, John Heineman [e-mail:bullhorn17@hotmail.com] on 10/19/99.

Birdfeeders have been constructed and put out in the transitional area. A problmm has arisen as far as the types of seed is concerned. We were unable to locate a store selling large enough amounts of millet seed. We would like some feedback as to how to solve this problem, would table scraps be ok? Such as bread and donuts etc.?
I, Malika, am also unsure as to whether or not to gather data seeing as how: we don't have all the types of feed and the birds haven't been coming around. I believe that because of the rapid change in the weather from cool, cold, warm, and finally to hot. The bords haven't had an opportunity to adapt to the feeders being set up. The transitional space feeders have been up for a little more than a week now.
