Team A knows all about Collins Run (or we will eventually at least)

Our research idea is as follows: First of all, our basic expectation is to learn interdisciplinarily about the watershed at Collins Run. (This will not take much, as right now we know nothing about Collins Run.) We plan to focus on the cultural, scientific, and social aspects of Collins Run, from the historical significance, the modern day uses, and the effects of human impact to the natural composition, watershed traits, and organic substances. More specifically, we want to do the following: 1) look at Collins Run 2) play in the water 3) evaluate organic biodiversity 4) evaluate sediment type and load 5) have a quality group experience for the first time ever on Western 6) research sociological and historical data about Collins Run 7) research and discuss how human interaction with Collins Run has compromised its integrity (ohhh, buzz word!) 8) evaluate water composition (minerals, pH, hardness, etc etc.) 9) play in the water some more...maybe drown ourselves if the project is too overwhelming 10) beat up Collins Run group B (after we steal their data) because they suck 11) look at changes in the topographic features of the area and surmise how these changes affect the watershed. 12) shock fish 13) sneak into Harkers Run at night and go skinny dipping 14) create an aesthetically pleasing representation of our work at Collins Run 15) integrate our knowledge from the readings in class to the real life experience at Collins Run 16) find out if there are any interest/lobby groups for Collins Run...if not, we can start a leftist radical movement. 17) beat up Ross
We will definitely have more sources as time goes on, including many library sources and PDFs. One of our first activities as a group is to go to King Library and the Brill Science Library and research more on watersheds, etc etc.
Our basic timeline is as follows:
4:23pm on 1-24...eat an early dinner, then find Craig and go to King, on the way meandering by the reflecting pool as a hot guy walks by. Just kidding.
Really, we're going to do this:
Go to the library in the next week in order to gain basic information about the watersheds. We also want to go to Lane Library in order to gain access to information about the history of Collins Run.
We will then have our initial site visit. This will entail running naked through the creek as a sacrifice to ask permission from the creek gods, offering Ross as a sacrifice for our intrusion.
By the end of these two weeks, we will have our initial data and a better idea of what direction we want to pursue in this project. As a rough estimate, from weeks 2 to 6, we will collect "experimental" data.
In an experiment comparable to Walden Pond, Randy, Craig, and I will spend weeks 4 through 8 living at Collins Run. Please excuse our absenses.
But anyway, we will then compile both our experimental and research data and come to a synthesized, interdisciplinary, far out conclusion.
We are also going to incorporate art into our project, but how we do this is a secret at this time because we do not want sucky group B to steal our ideas.
