Subdivision Fun

This topic submitted by Christopher Wolfe (WolfeCR@muohio.edu) on 3/6/02.

I am enthusiastic about this proposal. One thing that I would recommend for you to do early is take a road trip (or better a long hike!) and at least check out the Run everywhere it crosses a road. If you look at the map I gave you, you will see that it runs near BurtŐs house, and southern knolls subdivisions. How do these areas affect the Run and are there lessons here for kids?

When we return from spring break our field trip to Indian Creek, and our visit with Jim MacCartney should be quite helpful in helping you solidify the scientific aspects of your proposal. We will make class time for you to work with Jim, and I urge you to make the most of this excellent opportunity. -Chris
