ok then sam and i went to the run today. it's getting a little warmmmmmer...

about 56 degrees F at every point we went to. (water temp)

we marked off where our testing stations will be, using 7 orange flags and possibly a giant plastic tube already stuck in the water.

saw a dead fish

highlight of trip: old car up yonder

i guess we've decided now due to time constraints that the "sections" idea won't really be ideal. we might try to do one big go on the whole "get-data" thing. aka we might try to do all the testing in one day, cutting out our original tie in with the flood topic/high-low water differences, etc. this would be better considering how many stations we want to have. we'll see. so i guess this is turning into a project with less built-in comparison studies and now looking more generally at the morphology of the stream and how the different testing points and areas relate to each other. we couldn't find a digital camera so you know how that goes...

we got our feet wet.

did no testing today. weighed the coffee filters that have been sitting in the oven for weeks too long, and these are the results:

A1 1.012 g
A2 1.038 g
A3 1.026 g
A4 0.975 g
A5 1.011 g

hope you enjoyed this lovely report of progress...
