Bio Diversity

Biodiversity is such a key concept, and there are so many ways that it can be studied. On the one hand the scientific dimension of the project needs to be focused. A census of the fish life is fairly different than a look at the plant life in the riparian zone. Of course the project ultimately needs to include social and cultural issues as well. The issue of development is an important one. It might be interesting to interview local real estate agents about what they think their potential customers think and feel about the Creek if they were to buy a house nearby it. Would they think about it as a thing of beauty? A treasured ecosystem? Or would they not think about it much at all? If we knew more about how the ultimate consumers of this development thought we might be in a better position to influence "development" practices. Just an idea. -Chris
