Documentary, an idea

How about making a documentary about Acton Lake? We could incorporate bits of everything and have interviews with various sources...ie Frimmerman and perhaps some people from Houston Woods discussing the pros and cons of using Acton Lake recreationally, see if it's environmentally protected and in what specific ways, check out some of the biology of the lake and so on.

At present, the commercialism of Houston woods (and Acton Lake through that park) seems like the most salient feature for reporting. ALTHOUGH last week in journalism class, my professor mentioned that once when Oxford was experiencing a drought, the town formed some kind of contract concerning water rights to Acton Lake. I'm not sure who this contract was formed with, or the specifics, but that might be interesting to include. Also we can give background information on the damn, the affect of the damn on the environment....what that area would have looked like without the damn...how many tourists come through and where does that money go...ect ect. I've never done this kind of project before- creating a video as the final project- but I definitely think it would be fun. What do you guys think?
