Good idea I really like how well you are intergrating everything. You may be able to look at how everything has changed over time like in the green revolution. I think that because 4mc is located so close to a college campus certain decades may show very unique changes within not only the 4mc ecosystem but the human uses and impacts on the system. The natural systems aspect might be a little hard to add but i think you can do it. "It is important to understand the science behind the river before you can understand the actual river" (Hays). Good luck, I really like your idea and I think it will come out really well.
