Austin-
You have found an excellent way to engage and ground the interdisciplinary theories we have studied in class. By basing your project around the covered bridge, you've chosen something concrete- something the reader of your project can latch on to for reference. It's a good way of tieing down rather cold, abstract theories that would otherwise be floating in the ether. It also gives those theories some kind of emotional face, making them friendlier to the reader. Nothing puts me to sleep faster than reading rambling academic jargon that has no practical extension. You have found a way to avoid that trap with the use of your covered brigde.

I would also suggest that you write a romance novel centering around the love affair between a local married woman and a photographer hired to capture the images of the covered bridges of Preble County, but I think that idea has been done already.
