The edges of the creek

Let's talk more about this in person. I wonder if the margins of the creek can be effectively studied (in a scientific sense) without an equally intensive comparison of the species back from the creek by 50 or 100 meters. Here in Ohio there are cottonwoods and sycamores that have a preference for the stream margins. Were you hoping to do a project on the creek "context" instead of the creek itself? I think we could work with this in an interdisciplinary way. There is a good nucleus of an idea here, but I think we need to keep it going. So the emphasis could be either the biodiversity (Natural Diversity Surrounding Four Mile Creek") angle or the '" Four Mile Creek in Context--Biology and Human Interest" angle.

Thank you for offering the first idea. m.
