Wetlands along Four Mile Creek

I also think it would be interesting to study the wetlands along Four Mile Creek and how humans have affected these natural wetlands and the biological and cultural impacts this has created.
I would like to look at how the creation of dams and other developments have affected the wetlands. I would study the history of development on and around pre-existing wetland areas and how much area in wetlands has vanished because of development.
I would like to see what kinds of species of plants and animals live in the remaining wetlands along Four Mile Creek and how many species have vanished because of destruction of wetlands. I also would like to see the how these species have adapted to an environment that has been changed.
I am also interested in how much erosion is caused by the absense of wetlands and the amount of pollution that enters existing wetlands.
I could also examine the cultural aspects of wetland by finding out from locals about how important they feel wetlands are around Four Mile Creek and how many people have donated private land that contain wetlands as conservation easments. I would also like to see if there are any educational programs that inform citizens about wetlands along Four Mile Creek.
