What is Value?

I think it is a really good idea to look at a river from a value analysis. However, I guess I have a problem with the basic design of your study. It seems to me that by looking at the value of a river pruely from the state of mind of "how can we use it" and "how does it benifit us" is inline with the ways of the Industrial age. 4-Mile creek is apart of a larger water-shed system, and because of that you cannot take it out of that larger context. How would the absence of 4-Mile Creek, disrupt the whole water shed? I think that question is one you should think of exploring.
