I would like to thank Jason for his wonderful contribution to my research topic- by adding a plea for friends at the end. It was a lovely addition, and very relelvent to my
topic.

My idea is to have the group members write the oral history of Four Mile Creek. These stories will hopefully include differing perspectives ranging from the oral writings of scientists to poets. The goal of the project will be to produce some kind of flowing (pun intended)oral history of the river and its inhabitants in order to better connect with the river and the ecological world in general.
I feel that the construction of a synthesized oral tale would greatly contribute to both the students' connection to the river and also the students' ability to empathize with creatures and people different than themselves.
