Important Introductory Information for the 2003 Rivers Projects:

Peer Review is a fundamental component of doing research. To help make your river projects more interdisciplinary and scientifically sound, you are being called upon to put forward ideas, proposals, and final report as well as provide feedback to your peers.

These are Research Ideas for Rivers: An Interdisciplinary Perspective , Spring 2003. This year, all projects will focus on Four Mile Creek. Each student is to submit their own interdisciplinary research idea. After the idea submissions, we will divide into Specific "Research Teams." Look at the 2002 River Course Ideas and Final Project Reports for Inspiration.

You can Input Your Research Ideas/Questions , and then review feedback on this page. Or, just look at what other students plan to do.

Each Project Idea must include (1) one or more Research Question(s); (2) A clear indication of an Interdisciplinary Approach (including cultural, social and scientific perspectives) and (3) Some tentative notions about specific methods for addressing the scientific, humanistic, and social science dimensions of your project.

Some Important Considerations: (1) Be practical! Not all questions are "good" questions! (2) Discuss your research ideas with one another; and (3) It's your idea. Make it work!
