Plan Revisions

We do not have any major revisions of our research plan since the last posting except for a new research timeline (tentative depending on weather) which will see us through the majority of the remaining project research.
April 8th Group organizational meeting. Visit the mound for final, precise measurements.

April 10th Visit the mound for precise measurement of the distance from the creek.

April 12th Group discussion, viewing of Indian video.

April 15 Meeting with local historian, Ms. Janet Stuckley.
April 19 Internal group research at King Library.

April 22 Group meeting to begin typing process of research experiment (tentative on presentation due date).

Observations

We have visited the burial mound for preliminary observations but had not been able to obtain a way to measure the dimensions of the burial mound until today (a laser measuring device will be used).

New Materials

We discovered an online copy of the environmental commercial from the 70Ős in which a Native American is shown crying for the polluted land. We have also made contact with more local historians/archivists who have offered help in our research efforts, and the Special Collections department at King Library has been very helpful in giving us names of useful contacts and aid in our search for resources.

Requests For Assistance

We are having difficulty obtaining a meter wheel to measure the distance between the creek and the burial moundÉdo you know of any other departments that might own one? Or is there some other method that would work and that we have the tools for? Also, we need help from Hays or someone else familiar with apple quicktime in order to see if the commercial clip found online can be made large enough to use in our presentation (itŐs a very small viewing box on the website found at http://www.kab.org/psa1.cfm - under the Ňview the original KAB 1971 public service announcementÓ link in the bottom right corner). Thanks!!
