Also today the group researched the book ÒFossils of Ohio,Ó in order to establish a geological context for Four Mile Creek.
Tomorrow or Thursday the group plans to interview members of the Oxford community who will speak to the contemporary significance of Four Mile Creek.
Thursday the group will speak with anthropology professor Adolph Greenberg on religious connections to rivers. The group had earlier contacted geography professor Bill Renwick, and today he e-mailed the group information about agricultural intensification in southwestern Ohio.
Library research on the significance of rivers for Native Americans will continue this week.
